A Walk In The Swamp

My back yard is literally a swamp here in the panhandle of Florida. I don’t have a great photo of the boardwalk that keeps me from getting my feet wet, but there is a lot of beauty in this little piece of the wetlands. A recent walk in the swamp after a rain revealed a lot of photo opportunities that I couldn’t pass up.

Raindrops on an elephant ear. Loki the tortoise finding a snack. (A fan on Facebook decided his name should be Loki, lol. Now, if an alligator shows up, I’ll be naming him Loki too, hahaha.) A tree frog that was sure I couldn’t see him. (Maybe he should also be called Loki.) Sunlight revealing contour-like details of another elephant ear. Sunlight and rain drops on tiny butterfly weed flowers.

I want to share this beauty with you and wish you Happy Autumn. We don’t get much fall color in Florida, but this picture of the boardwalk sure shows all the leaves that are falling, lol.

Enjoy!
